How to Root Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300

Samsung Galaxy S3 is the Predecessor of Samsung Galaxy S4. Galaxy S3 has a 4.8" Super AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen with a HD Resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with 306 ppi pixel density. Samsung Galaxy S3 is jam-packed with lots of out of the box features such as Smart Stay, Multi-window, S Memo, S Suggest, S Voice and many more such great features.

By rooting your Galaxy S3, you'll gain access to the source files of the OS, and you'll be able to make changes in it. You'll be able to Install Custom Roms, Custom Kernels, Apps which require Root Access and many more features. If you want full access to your device then you must Root your Samsung Galaxy S3.

Important Things to Remember Before Processing:

  1. Rooting Will Void the Manufacturer warranty of the device.
  2. If you don't follow correctly then it may harm your device badly.
  3. Backup everything such as apps, contacts, sms, logs, bookmarks, etc with SuperBackup.
  4. Make sure you have Samsung Drivers Installed on your Pc, if not then you can download them directly from their official site.
  5. Disable your antivirus while processing.
  6. Close Samsung Kies if it is running.
  7. Charge your Samsung Galaxy S3 at least 75%.

CF-Root XXDLIB [The Root Kit which will do process for us]
Odin [ The flash tool which will flash the file in the device]

How to Root Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300

  1. Shut down the device. 
  2. Now press and hold Volume Down + Home + Power Button simultaneously.
  3. Now press Volume Up button to get into the download mode.
  4. Connect your Device to PC via USB.
  5. Now extract the  CF-Root XXDLIB file, and you'll get .tar file after extracting.
  6. Open up Odin.
  7. Click on PDA and select the .tar file you've just extracted. 
  8. Now click on Start in Odin.
  9. Once the process is completed, your phone will restart. 
  10. It might take upto 10 minutes for starting after rooting, this is only for first time, it will be normal after that.
  11. Now disconnect the phone from USB.
  12. That's it, You've successfully rooted your Samsung Galaxy S3 now!
Still, if you want to confirm, then go to menu, and find app "SuperSU", if you find it, then you have rooted your device successfully. Have fun! Alternatively you can use any root access checker app from Google Play Store too.
