How to Root Samsung Galaxy Y S5360

Samsung Galaxy Y is a budget smartphone by Samsung, which comes with 3" LCD Capacitive touchscreen display which has 133 ppi Pixel Density. It has 830Mhz ARMv6 Processor which lets you do multitasking very smoothly. It runs on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS. Samsung Galaxy Y has a 1200 mAh battery with up to 17 Hrs Talk Time.

Today we are going to show you How to Root Samsung Galaxy Y with the easy method.

After rooting you smartphone, you can install latest available firmwares on your device, install custom roms, and use apps which require root access. In short, you'll gain access to your whole device, if know coding a bit, then you may customize it as you want.

Important Things to do Before Processing

  1. Enable USB Debugging from Settings > Applications > Development.
  2. Close all applications running in background.
  3. Make sure that your Galaxy Y is charged at least 75%.

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Y S5360

  1. Connect your device to your personal computer via USB cable. Don't use Bluetooth or tethering.
  2. Just copy the update.zip file and place it in the Home Directory. Do not place it in inside any folder.
  3. Switch off your phone and now you must make your device enter into recovery mode, this can be done by the Volume UP key and Volume Down Key and Home Key together for few seconds.
  4. As your device is in recovery mode, Use Volume Rockers to Navigate up and down, and use Home Button for Selecting option.
  5. Navigate to "Install from SD card" and choose "zip from SD card"
  6. Now Navigate to update.zip which you've placed in your SD Card and press Home button to start process.
  7. Once you've selected the file, the rooting process will be initiated automatically. It will take around 10-15 minutes. Do not unplug your device from your computer.
  8. Once the rooting is done, your device will restart, which will take place longer time, be patient, and that's it! 

Your Samsung Galaxy Y is successfully rooted now.
